Paper Carnations

These Paper Carnations are allot of fun to make. You need cardstock (any color of your choice), Scallop Circle Punch, Paper Piercer, and Brads (any color).
Step 1. Punch 3 scallops
Step 2. Crumble them all up to break up papers fibers. Crumble , then crumble some more. Then split them into two. You will end up with 6 scallop circles now.
Step 3. Stack all 6 one on top of the other....furry soft side up.
Step 4. Using the paper piercer...poke hole through the center of all six scallop circles.
Step 5. Put brad through hole.
Step 6. Start crumbling flower from the center out.
So there it is you have made your Paper Carnation.
***try using white cardstock, DSP or vellum. With these you DO NOT need to split paper just be sure to punch out 6 scallop circles....crumbled up to make soft. Try sponging the tips with ink for that realistic carnation look. HAVE FUN!!!!!

Chickie Card

Another adorable Chickie. This one is so simple to make. Go ahead and cut and score the body of the card (summer sun CS) before running it through the BIG SHOT top note die. Make sure to slide down just a little to omit cutting one end of the top note so that you scored part is not cut. Sponge edges and cheeks with summer sun ink pad to add dimension. Used #5- 1" Circle Punch for the white part of the eyes as well as the eyelids then used #6- 3/4" circle punch for the black part of the eyes, and then free hand cut nose out of only orange CS. Use small glue dot with Tempting Turquoise 1/4" grosgrain ribbon. $1.50 per card.

Paper Quilting Baby Shower Card

Paper Quilting is an awesome technique. Using your Square punch to punch out squares of patterned paper. Then take a 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 sheet of cardstock and glue the squares to it. Creating a mixture of patterns. You can use one color throughout or several colors just like a fabric quilt would look.
Then you can run it through the BIG SHOT machine with the Top Note die and it creates the stitching all the way around. I then went and added fauxe stitching with a chocolate chip marker. Chris chross stitch looks so real. Added a more realistic look to the paper quilting technique. So there you have two techniques that work great together. $2.50 per card. Thanks for Looking and come back soon!!!

Baby Bib cards

I made these as a baby shower gift for a friend. She can use them as thank you cards or as birth announcements. I made an assortment of colors and patterns. Each card has two beautiful bows in the front of the bib.
I also paper pieced the baby rattle on the stamped image. What that means if you haven't done this technique before is that you stamp the image on white and then stamp it again on pattern paper or just colored cardstock. Cut image and glue to image stamped on white paper.
Since I used several patterns this was a great way to tie the color to that image. Just a small detail that makes all the difference.
This gift received the "WOW" factor as it was definitely an original gift at the shower. There are 24 in this set but you can order as many or as little as you need. $2.50 per card .
or $60 for the set of 24 cards and envelopes. Thanks for looking!! come back soon :)
